Rating: Decorated marine officer Colonel Terry Childers is on trial for a rescue mission in Yemen which went wrong, leaving many demonstrators dead. Colonel Hayes Hodges is a disullusioned lawyer who had his marine career dashed when injured in Vietnam. Terry has chosen Hayes to defend him, as Hayes had saved his life many years ago, however Hayes is not the best lawyer in town, and also starts to doubt Terry.

This is basically a military courtroom drama in which soldiers are put on trial for doing things that civilians safe at home think to be wrong. The audience is kept in the dark about the truth of the incident until later in the film, which keeps the suspense going a little bit, not that you ever doubt the truth. The leads all do creditable performances, but in the end the film doesn't quite have enough juice to make it into the A Few Good Men league.
